Extraordinary leadership for extraordinary times – do you have what it takes?
We don’t need to tell you how challenging and extraordinary the past few years of work have been. You’ve been there, we all have.
But if you’re waiting for things to go back to the ‘good old days’, I’m afraid you’ll be in for disappointment. Because the way we lead will never be the same again. There is no more “Business As Usual”.
Two years on from the start of the pandemic, we’re still leading through the most extraordinary of times. Staff and skill shortages, goods shortages, navigating new hybrid ways of working, and this ‘great resignation’ looming over us all.
These extraordinary times call for extraordinary leaders.
But what does it mean to be an extraordinary leader? How do us more ‘ordinary’ leaders elevate our skills to navigate our people through the remainder of 2022 and beyond?
We asked 3 of our Collective Experts and Storytellers what they think:

Dan is a celebrated entrepreneur who made headlines around the world when he announced a minimum wage of USD$70,000 for his entire company whilst reducing his own from $1.1million to $70,000. Dan wants leaders to recognise that business should be about purpose, service, and making a difference. He believes it’s not about doing business as usual anymore, but doing business better.

Peggy’s positivity and energy light up any room immediately. She’s a straight-talking senior executive in a male-dominated industry with an unstoppable passion for empowering people to dream big, be authentic and unlock happiness.

Peter has nearly thirty years of experience in leading complex transformational projects around the world, having lived and worked in fourteen countries. He has developed frameworks around Inspiration, Connection and Engagement for organisations to help lead them systematically and enthusiastically through large-scale transformation and embed new ways of working.
Becoming an exceptional leader isn’t rocket science. But it’s hard work. It takes ‘unlearning’ much of what we’ve been taught about business and management over – for some of us at least – many decades, and rewiring ourselves to be, well, human!
At The Serenity Collective, we build exceptional learning experiences that empower leaders and their workplaces to truly thrive.
